Center to Host Mass Celebrating People with Special Needs
On November 1, 2015, The Most Reverend Frank Caggiano, Bishop of Bridgeport will celebrate Mass in recognition of people with disabilities. The Mass is hosted by Saint Catherine Center for Special Needs and will take place at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Church, adjacent to the Center. Several young people will receive the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.
Following Mass, there will be a special blessing of the Memorial Garden dedicated to Saint Catherine Academy Founding Benefactors, Kay and Jerry Luff. This garden includes the raised beds that were built and installed as an Eagle Scout project by Andrew Aoyama, flower garden and walkway made possible through the generous donation of the CT Association of Malta. Kay and Jerry Luff were active members of this Catholic Lay organization.
A reception will follow. The Center will be open and Art work by the Academy students and young adults in the Adult Day program will be on display. For more information please call 203-540-5381.
