Spring Dinner Dance – A Big Hit!
Spring Dinner Dance – A Bit Hit!!!
On May 20, 2016, Saint Catherine Center for Special Needs in Fairfield hosted its Spring Dinner Dance at Saint Pius X in Fairfield for over 100 guests with special needs and their families. Members of parish communities and area group homes are invited to gather for a night of good food, music and friendship.
Besides the wonderful food provided by the Knights of Columbus Council #17 in Bridgeport, the guests danced to the music of Herb Ramirez.
Sue Baldwin, Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry from Saint Andrew in Bridgeport, brought her youth group to prepare and serve this lovely dinner. They worked side by side with the Knights to make this evening memorable.
“We look forward to this opportunity and embrace the community. It is a true privilege for us and humbling each time we gather to serve others. On a personal level, it is inspiring to me that we have youth that want to serve. They have charitable and compassionate hearts. As a group, we find peace and joy every time we prepare and attend these lovely dinners.” remarked Sue Baldwin.
“Our dinner dance brought together family, youth and community- a perfect evening for our friends of Saint Catherine Center.” said Mrs. Mikolsky, Director of Parish and Community Outreach.
